Current.
Honest.
Useful.

Blake Duvall spent two decades working his way into the room where these decisions get made. He started in the trenches, built programs from nothing, scaled teams, and led through the moments that define whether a security organization actually works. The frameworks he shares come from solving the same problems your audience is working through right now.

He combines deep technical expertise with executive-level strategic thinking, translating complex technology challenges into clear business decisions. Audiences leave with tools they'll still be using next month.

Six leadership principles underpin everything Blake teaches. They're not decorative. They're how he actually operates.

01
Always Be Curious
The best leaders ask better questions. Curiosity prevents complacency and drives continuous improvement.
02
Radical Candor
Clear feedback, honest conversations, and saying what needs to be said, even when it's uncomfortable.
03
Transparency Builds Trust
Teams perform best when they know where they stand, what's expected, and why decisions get made.
04
Accountability Starts With Me
Own the outcomes. Take responsibility when things go wrong. Give the credit when they go right.
05
Collaboration Wins
Cross-functional teamwork isn't the exception. It's the default in high-performing organizations.
06
Effectiveness Only
Measure progress by impact, not activity. Are we moving the needle, or just checking boxes?
01
Frameworks That Survive Reality
Every concept Blake delivers has been tested in the real world. Through incidents, budget battles, boardrooms, and compliance audits. If it didn't hold up, it doesn't make the cut.
02
Honest Communication, Delivered Well
Radical candor doesn't mean brutal. Blake says what needs to be said with the care that comes from genuinely wanting the audience to succeed.
03
Monday Morning Actionable
Audiences leave with tools they can apply before the week is out. Strategy is only as good as its implementation. Blake builds both into every session.

01
Leading Through Transparency
Many leaders instinctively protect their teams from uncertainty, but that instinct backfires. Blake shows how sharing context, admitting what you don't know, and making decisions visible builds the kind of trust that speeds things up, reduces second-guessing, and creates teams that can operate without constant oversight.
02
The Curiosity Advantage
The higher you go in an organization, the less anyone tells you what you need to hear. Blake makes the case that genuine curiosity, the kind that keeps you asking better questions and challenging your own assumptions, is one of the most valuable leadership habits you can build. It's also the one most likely to get dropped the moment things get busy.
03
Radical Candor Without Corporate BS
Most teams are drowning in feedback that doesn't say anything, and starving for the honest conversations that would actually help them grow. Blake delivers practical frameworks for saying what needs to be said, with care, with context, and with the genuine goal of helping people improve. Leaders who get this right build teams where problems surface early and trust becomes the default.
04
From Technical Expert to Strategic Leader
Technical expertise gets you in the room. It won't keep you there. Blake shares the frameworks he used to make the leap himself: how to shift from solving technical problems to solving business problems, how to communicate risk in language executives actually respond to, and how to build influence across the organization that no certification will ever give you.
05
The Human in the Loop
As AI takes over more of the technical work, the decisions left to humans are higher stakes, less forgiving, and harder to reverse. Blake makes the case that automation doesn't diminish the importance of human judgment. It raises it. This session is about developing the clarity, governance instincts, and leadership presence that no model can replicate, and why the organizations that get this right will be the ones that survive getting it wrong.

Built from
the ground
up.

Blake started his first technology business at 16. He's been building security and technology programs ever since, advancing from systems administrator to CISO through two decades of real-world experience across government, financial services, and SaaS.

He is a working CISO. He manages risk, leads through incidents, and navigates the challenges his audience faces today. The frameworks he delivers come from current practice, which means they're built to hold up when things get hard.

Blake's mission: prove that cybersecurity leadership can be transparent, collaborative, and radically effective, for organizations ready to do the work.
